Interlude: Exercising my graphic design muscles

I haven't been drawing as much as I'd like, so it's good to get back to 31 Days of Monsters, where I'm forced to crank out quick sketches every day. It's not that I haven't been busy though. This year has brought me work creating posters for the Uptown Theatre in Napa. It's nice work, and I get a variety of styles to work on. The turnaround is quick and I get to work on some posters with some amazing acts. I've been hesitant to include them on my blog, but I can't think of a single reason not to, so here goes. Teddy Boy

The Teddy Boys were members of a youth subculture in England who got their style from the clothing of the Edwardian era that became popular after World Ward II and the new Rock 'n' Roll music that was drifting over the Atlantic from America. I was reading up on the Teddy Boy movement a while back and got the idea of a bear dressed up in a velvet drape coat, skinny jeans and brothel creepers. Get it? Teddy Bear? Teddy Boy?
