31 Days of Monsters: Monkey-man of Delhi

In 2001, reports began to spread of a strange creature menacing residents of New Delhi in India. A short ape-like creature with glowing eyes, metal claws wearing a helmet and quasi-military uniform, the Monkey-man, as he was called, caused wide-spread panic, and numerous deaths were attributed to it. Most injuries came from stampedes caused by rumors of his sighting, and several people fell to their deaths running from the creature. Authorities claimed the sightings were mass hysteria, but believers claim that the Monkey-man was real.

31 Days of Monsters: Day Nineteen — Penanggalan

A penanggalan is a strange vampire-like creature from the folklore of Malaysia. It appears in daytime as a very beautiful woman, but at night, its head detaches and rises into the air, trailing the creature's entrails and organs behind it. At dawn, after a night of drinking the blood of its victims, the penanggalan must return to it's body or die. It order to do this, it keeps large jars of vinegar in its home so that it can shrink its entrails enough to slide them back into its bodily disguise.
