Lately, I've been working up compositions by combining smaller thumbnails and sketches in Photoshop. I decided to share one I did today. I'll post more process images as the drawing progresses.

Pure imagination

I've been working on some portfolio pieces for an illustration conference and workshop I'd like to attend. These three illustrations are of a character I've drawn before, that ultimately, I'd like to do an entire book about. It was a good exercise to show the same character in different poses.

Rich fantasy life

I'm working on some children's book ideas I've had percolating in my head for a while. This piece is for a story about a boy with a vivid imagination. I wanted to show him pretending to be different characters, but didn't want to lose sight of him inside his characters. I have a couple more images of him playing around, so we'll see how they look as a series.
